PSA for anyone thinking of getting a bunny rabbit this Easter season
There is no retirement home for unwanted Easter bunnies 
PSA, just an FYI.
If you still want one as a pet, please check petfinder.
No drama meant. I seriously just want to pass along the info/links to help out the rabbits. It's something I didn't know was such a huge problem until I moved to LI.

Why did i even look at this  my heart is broken.. if anyone really is serious about getting a rabbit for a pet i would recommend highly looking at this first.. Poor babies..

That's just heartbreaking..  I hope these people dont have any other pets in there home. I can just imagine. Where is your concience..

ALSO for Easter, dyeing chicks colors and then putting them up for sale is illegal in New York State. Not only can they harbor Salmonella but it's just wrong to color a live animal in the hopes of selling them as a "trend" only to have them discarded when their real colors grow in or they're not as cute anymore.
If you see stores selling them, report them to the ASPCA.

I always get so sad for animals around holidays.
So many people get sucked into the whole idea of how cute they are when they are babies & how they add to the spirit of the holiday.
Yet so many end up being unwanted because those same people don't realize how much work is involved in keeping one as a pet.
People need to schooled on this topic
 for the animals that will be given up once the facade has passed

I actually adopted my rabbit from the Long Island Rabbit rescue in September. I love my little guy. The story behind how they rescued my Jefferson is so sad. I wish I could adopt more

People actually dye chicks?? That's so disturbing, they're live animals not a toy.
