The Place in farmingdale
Has anyone bought from "The Place" in Farmingdale? I read some pretty bad reviews on facebook, but I don't know if they are biased...

I work close to that store and my co workers advise me never to buy furniture there..they don't have good things to say and questionable quality on some items that they sell cheap.

Our bedroom set is from there. I think we bought it in 2008 though.
No problems to speak of.

They are going through an auction right now. They claim its cause they are redoing the store but an auction usually means bad money problems.

The Place in farmingdale
DH and I went to look there for furniture when we bought our house and the customer service was terrible. I was basically called a liar when asking about a piece of furniture I found on their website and they were so rude. Not to mention a lot of their furniture looks like it belongs in some old lady's house.

They are always "going out of business" or "having an auction" I dont trust stores like that.

We went there to look for our bedroom furniture about 2 years ago and I didn't get a good vibe from them. The sales guy was extremely pushy and tried to sell us a set that wouldn't fit properly in our bedroom. I left when he was trying to convince me that I would just lay on my bed to open my drawers to make it fit.

We got our kids furniture from there about 3 years ago. It was a big day - DH took down the cribs, they were getting big kid beds! guess what - they only came with one bed when we ordered 2!
