Name question. Opinions?
So my name is Adriana. Would it be weird if I had a boy and named him Adrian?
Don't worry about saying yes and hurting my feelings. Part of me thinks it's Weird, another thinks it's ok.
Thoughts?

My mother in law and sister in law's names are Mary.
If you like it - use it.
Super similar names or 'juniors' aren't for me. But they can be for anyone else. I wouldn't be like 'you're weird' because of it.

I don't think it is any weirder than when people use their exact name for their same sex child.
In my family we tend to name after the living so we have a ton of people with children/grandchildren with the same name.
Our family is filled with Franks, Francine's, Jacks, Jackie's, Paula's Paul's, etc. the only one thing that gets confusing is when the family gets together and someone yells "yo, Frank" about 4 people turn around.

I think as long as you and your husband are happy with his name, then that's all that matters! People will always have something to say. I agree with the previous posters- children are named after their dads all the time!
