My acupuncturist drank tons of it when she hit 37 weeks. She said it was supposed to help bring on labor and shorten labor.

Re: Red Raspberry Leaf Tea

It is great for the uterus, helps strengthen it and prepare for birth.

It is very good for you. I drink it regularly throughout pregnancy. It strengthens and tones your uterus.

i had asked my OB about it and she never even heard of it Chat Icon ... she said she had no problem with me drinking it.

i drank it three times a day starting the 3rd trimester and had a quicker-than-i-expected labor (26 hours from first contraction till birth ... about 6 hours of active labor and one hour of pushing)

note it does not bring on labor - it just makes your contractions more efficient so that labor is faster (but not less painfull).

i definitely recommend it.

Thanks! Will try anything to shorten labor!
