1 yr old crying in middle of night??
DS just turned 1 last week. He was teething really bad but has been better. I admit I was giving him a few ounces of milk if he woke up at about 3am but it wasn't every night. I kmow it's a bad habit so just before he was crying. I changed his diaper bc it was pretty full & gave him a little water in a bottle. Cuddled him a few mins & put him back in crib to cry to sleep. For naps & bedtime he goes down awake but very tired & cries a few mins to sleep. Would u give him some milk in the middle of the night or just do some water or nothing?? My DD never woke up during the night at this age but does maybe 4 out of 7 nights. As I wrote this he was crying and now asleep. Wwyd??

I wouldn't give anything. We usually let DD cry and soothe herself back to sleep. Could be teething. Have you tried Motrin or Tylenol?

Yyeah I do usually give meds if I see he is teething bad. I yhink we may just have to let him cry it out and not go in.

I wouldn't give him anything. Sounds like he is relying on you to get him back him to sleep. My twins do this sometimes. I think maybe they had a bad dream or who knows? They always settle themselves back. Good Luck!

1 yr old crying in middle of night??
My DS actually just went through this last week. Every single night last week he woke up at around 3 screaming his poor head off. He was inconsolable - and also getting over a nasty ear infection. I actually gave him a full 8 oz bottle of milk which he downed in 3 seconds then knocked back out. I'm not sure if he was going through a growth spurt or of he just was thirsty from all that screaming, but it did the trick. Now (knock on wood) he has gone back to STTN.
If I were you I would just see how LO is crying, if they won't calm down after everything you do, then I would give a little something in a bottle. Good luck
