Protein Powder or supplement
Dad is dealing with a health issue and he has lost a ton of weight. I would love a recommendation for something to put in a milkshake or smoothie to bulk up calories and protein.
I know we all usually talk about losing weight but this is quite different.
If it tastes good that would be great too!!
TIA!

Re: Protein Powder or supplement
They make weight gainer protein powders which are much higher in calories, protein, etc than regular protein powders. If you wanted a regular protein powder thats pretty good in taste I'd say go with Syntha 6 or Muscle Milk. Make sure they are meal replacements....not things like whey isolates because these will be thinner and not 'milkshake' like. If you want, you can get those 2 brands in ready-to-drink for him to try first.
Its not a protein powder, but the only thing I can get my mother in law to drink is Nutrament (sold in the supermarket) drinks (she has a very hard time gaining weight and eating so we try to get her to do these at least once a day). Just check with his doc first... Hope that helps and I hope he gets better soon!!!

Herbalife protein shakes are extremely nutrional and have oodles of protein. I have my 60 year old aunt on it and she is feeling energized and all! It will help your dad gain lean muscle and get a lot of nutrition that his diet is normally lacking. It is very safe - you can use it when you are pregnant and nursing. One shake has more portein than chicken thigh, a ton of fiber, vitamins nutrients. Also, your dad will love the taste. They are delicious. My uncle (super picky) drinks them when he is on the go. My male coworker uses it to gain lean muscle mass. I recommend chocolate, vanilla, or cookies and cream :)
Also they have meal replacement protein bars that are also very tasty!
Good luck in your search! I am very passionate about herbalife - it has helped transform my life!

Try Garden of Life, Raw Protein. You can add it to a smoothie.
