Mad Men 5/19: AKA... Wtf did I just watch? Spoilers!
I am so confused by that episode. I don't even know if I have words for it yet. I loved it AND hated it at the same time.
I was on the edge of my seat during the scenes with Sally and Bobby and the thief in the apartment. When she told Sally to give her a hug I was convinced she was going to stab her or something.
Dr. Feelgood shooting everyone up with methamphetamines.... it was funny but disturbing. I don't know what to make of most of it still, although Ken tapdancing is now one of my all time favorite show moments!
So sick of Don's flashbacks. He's still a skeeze, regardless of what an effed up childhood he had.

I couldnt have posted a better synopsis or opinion. I dont even know how I fee either.. Its was the most bizzare things I have ever seen in TV history.. W T H????? That tap dance??? OMG!!! I really thought they were all getting murdered as well. I really did ..

Ha, i paused the episode about 10 minutes in and said to DH - is it just me or is this episode really weird? it was all disjointed and i felt like all the dialogue was really off
and that was BEFORE they took the drugs! 
The tap dancing scene made me laugh, seriously hilarious!
Don made me want to reach through the screen and slap him at the end - really. I don't give a shit about his back story anymore, they've made him so unlikable this season that there really is no excuse for his behavior.
Usually i think Betty is a complete uptight ***** when she yells at him, but in this case she was right when the whole 'grandma ida' thing happened (so bizarre!). Really scary for the kids!
I wonder if this episode was written/directed by someone else - it really felt weird. I felt like i was the one who had done a bunch of drugs watching that show!

I wish they were on drugs for every episode...this was the only "interesting" one of the season...it's been a  fest so far.

I absolutely loooooved this episode. And yes me too, after watching it, felt like I was on drugs too. That is just so telling of how the writing is simpy amazing.
This is now my fav episode since "The Suitcase".
Ken tapdancing is absolutely the best moment of show's history. Not sure if Don was halucinating or Ken really did that. Makes me think Don was halucinating as we learn the first woman ever to treat him with warmth/motherly was the one to de-flower him and Ken says that he learned from his "mother, no first girlfriend" to tapdance.
Pretty insane episode. Even my DH who doesnt watch the show at all joined me to watch and totally got the emotional undertones.
Very different episode that highlighted some very deep issue that all of these characters been struggling with.
Props also the guy playing Stan - to relate so well both being insanely trippy and utter grief for his cousin takes some acting chops.
I was reading some critic's blogs who are having issues with Don being so obsessed with Sylvia b/c obviously he wasnt in love with her. I feel as usual its all abt DON. She left him and he doesnt handle rejection or leaving of women well. Just his reaction to seeing Peggy being nice to Ted is very insightful. He loves to control the women in his life and has panic attacks when he cannot. He is emotionally dead that any feeling that sips thru usually incapacitates him.

In the way in which the filming was edited- this reminds me of that episode last year when they drove to the Howard Johnsons and he left Megan.
The way the filming was done-jolting and eerie
made your head spin and trying to keep up
you felt like someone would die soon even though no reason given
