Sahm's of newborns... any groups Update: starting one!
Just wondering if there are groups or activities for mom's of newborns. I am a very social person and would love to start activities with my baby, but he is so little still. I want to meet other moms. My neighborhood park seems to be filled with nannies. Where can I find sahms??
Update: We are starting a mommy group for any moms that are available during the week. Please FM me if you want to join. It should be a lot of fun! We are in Nassau/Queens.

You can try the library, that's where I met my few local mommy friends. Almost 2 years later I still think its hard to meet people.

I work; but am on meetup and I see a TON of groups that meet during the week! Maybe start there and see what is nearby?

We are a little far from each other, but who cares. Is this everyone's first baby? How does everyone like being sahm's. I am not going to lie.. I love it!! We planned this for awhile. I knew if would be a good fit for me.

I am in Bayside. I have a 2 year old DD and 2 1/2 week old DD. How old is your DC? I am not a SAHM, but I don't go back to work until August.

I'm in Astoria. Definitely looking to make mommy friends!
DS is a year now, and I finally adjusted to being a SAHM. I missed working terribly for a long time but now came to the conclusion that a job will always be there, my little guy is growing so fast and I want to enjoy every second!
I have gone to a few music classes at some cafe in my area, and either: a) there are mostly nannies, or
b) the moms seemed kinda standoffish....

I'm not a SAHM but I'm a teacher so I'll be home all summer and would love to make some mommy friends. I'm in Port Washington. DD is 4 1/2 months old.

My son is six weeks. He is so little, but pretty interactive with me. My husband meets me for lunch everyday, which is great, but doesn't come home until 7:30-8:00.
