Re: Please recommend your sound machine
I use this one for DS:
LINK
I like that it has a bunch of different sound options and you can also plug in an mp3 player to play music if you want.

We have the Homedics Sound Spa. Started using it the day we came home from the hospital, DS still falls asleep to it at 2 years old. We have another one we use for our 2 month old. We love it.

Yup... This! Listening to it now through the video monitor bc I put my 23 month old in for a nap.
Even my 4 yr old likes it still. Really loves to look at the projector on the ceiling and picks a different one each night.

Best.Sound.Machine.Ever.
This was is only $20 from BBB and also projects on the ceiling. We also have a very expensive one from Brookstone. And the BBB one is hands down better!

Does this one have white noise? I'm wondering if it would be most beneficial to have one that has white noise. We already have the sleep sheep and it does nothing for DS but the air conditioner seems to help

I had the homedics sound spa for my ds and loved it
For dd I bought the munchkin nursery projector just to try something different. This one does have a white noise sound and it has a night light

Honestly, they are both great!

I would stay away from the homedics w/the projector. DD is just over a year and we have already been through 5 of them. The projector keeps breaking! I kept returning it b/c she loves it so much. Finally I exchanged it for the new model that is a whale (extra $10) thinking that they fixed the problem... nope! Ended up getting the munchkin one with the projector and no problems so far... fingers crossed!

We use the rain setting, too. There's also an ocean setting, though I don't like that as much.

We use the rain setting too. I don't use the projector because it started to keep my kids awake and then they wanted it back on in the middle of the night. Love it for the white noise though. We've had ours five years and it's still working.
