Swaddle for naps?

If you swaddle at night do you also swaddle for naps? My dd doesn't really nap during the day, usually catnaps sometimes she'll go longer but it's hit or miss.

DD is 4 weeks

Re: Swaddle for naps?

I never swaddled my DS for naps... I wanted him to differentiate between naps and night time.

This. DD knew that being swaddled signaled sleeping longer periods (she slept through the night very early on). We purposely never swaddled for naps.

I did in the beginning. Then started unswaddle and did it only if they were cranking out.

Re: Swaddle for naps?

DD was swaddled almost 24/7 when she was a newborn.
It was the only thing that calmed her down.
So yes- for naps too.
WHEN she napped that is. Chat Icon

Swaddle for naps?

Hailey was not a fan of being swaddled so we rarely did it for naps.

Only swaddled at night. When DS was brand new like 1-3 weeks we may have swaddled during the day too but mostly to keep him warm(winter baby).
