Exercising
So I am an avid Zumba fan and went tonight (found out today I am almost 6 wks preggo with twins). I really didn't push myself because I felt a lot of pressure with some of the basic moves....So it looks like no more Zumba for me until these LOs come! I just don't think it's wise and to be honest I got a really crappy workout from it too! Barely broke a sweat lol When I was pregnant with my DS I worked out with a trainer until I was over 12 weeks with a modified routine for pregnant women. Definitely not happening this time around.
What are some exercises are classes I could do while pregnant to keep up my stamina and keep my weight gain from exploding??

Exercising
I'd suggest just walking or swimming but you should really ask your doctor! I'm 12 weeks and have just been sticking to walking and elliptical 5 days a week.

Exercising
When I was pregnant I walked, did the elliptical, and did very light weight training. Although I still gained a lot lol.

Re: Exercising
I am a Zumba instructor and my plan was to keep it up as long as I could! Unfortunately I was in a car accident in January (before I got PG) that put a hold on my classes. I was able to do modified routines at home up until recently (20 weeks)
If you look into Zumba Gold that may be more appropriate. Those classes are geared for pregnant women, seniors, and people who are recovering from injuries. But obviously if you are not comfortable, stick to something else (like walking)
I CANNOT wait to get back into it, sometimes I just listen to my Zumba playlist while I am out walking LOL.

Re: Exercising
I walked on the treadmill or did the elliptical until I was 36 weeks pregnant which turned out to be 2 weeks before I gave birth. Those last 2 weeks were just too hard to move!
Just keep an eye on your heart rate and anything low impact should be fine.

My gym does offer Zumba gold once a week during the day. So I will definitely try it out while I am off from work. I'm going to miss Zumba. I love it!

Re: Exercising
I ran on the treadmill up until 7 months... I stopped feeling comfortable so I started walking and lifting lighter weights.

Prenatal yoga!
I just bought a DVD from Amazon which has different yoga routines based on trimester and symptoms...I'm waiting bc I want to double check w/ my Dr before I start, but I can't wait.
