Boss Vent

I just need to vent about my Boss--- ugh!!! I rarely take lunch so today I go for a 20 minute walk. Upon my return my boss asks me to call Fed Ex to find out what is the maximum value you can declare on a package. Im thinking this is business related - he is shipping a watch to someone for his biotch girlfriend. He transfers her on the phone to me and she is telling me to go to the post office and send it express then she says "Oh he didn't tell you".. I tell her I don't know where the post office is here and Im playing dumb that I never did this before and she is basically instructing me what to do, how to do it. Listen ***** I do not do personal favors for you, not part of my job and if she wasn't so demanding and authoritative maybe I probably would've done it.

Wow, that's ballsy.

I've never worked in an environment though where having to do favors for co-workers family/friends were expected.

Unfortunately, I know that many have to as part of their job description, either said or unsaid.

I know firsthand what it's like to work in an awful environment.

I put up with it for 5 years, thinking it was "the norm".

Thank you so much. I may have something lined up soon. Keeping my fingers crossed!! Its def not the norm but when the job market hasnt been all that great u swallow ur pride sometimes...again nott good but things seem to be picking up a bit!!! Ty for ur kind wishes!
