Disney Vacation Club
Does anyone have the Disney Vacation Club?
I would love to know if you use your points for other places and your experience.
Do you love it? What are some things that you are not happy with ect.

I've been a member since 2004.
Yes, we have used our points for other vacations but only small handful of times. I wouldn't go into buying DVC thinking that it would be used for other places.
I love DVC. I am glad we own it. I have crunched the numbers every which way and it has definitely saved us money. It has also changed the way we vacation at Disney. We never rush. If the line is too long for something, we say we'll hit it next trip.
I don't know if I would buy in at the current price ( ), but I'm glad I did it when I did.
There's a lot of pros and cons to it though.

We are DVC Members since 2007 and LOVE it! We own at Animal Kingdom and Boardwalk. We have a total of 400 points a year and we have two girls. We are Disney people and go there at least twice a year. To be honest, the only other place I ever traded out my points for was the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, but even that was really just part of dvc called the concierge club. Like the pp said, I wouldn't buy into it to exchange out like other timeshares. I also agree 100% that we saved money also. Our membership has already been more than paid for! We have owned since 2003, have contracts at Saratoga and Animal Kingdom. We have never traded our points.
