So I got this on July 26 and I have not stop bleeding. The first 3 weeks it was spotting but I guess I got my monthly cycle last week and its been really heavy and has not stopped. Going on 11 days with heavy flow. When does all this blood go away?? Doctor told me to give it some time but both DH and mostly me are frustrated. Please tell me there's an end to this.. I don't mind spotting but this heavy flow is draining me. I'm going to Disney next week and the last thing I want to worry about is this.

If I rememeber correctly it was on and off for about a month. The last week being much lighter. Hang in there, it is worth it in the end!!!!

I had an issue like that bleeding so heavy and huge clots (sorry TMI) Come to find out my Mirena had come out and my body had rejected it and same as birth I was having contractions and releasing everything inside....worst experience ever!

Oh wow!! I'm having huge clots as well. I only cramped really bad one day where I had to grab my stomach and was crying in bed. I never take meds but that night I had to take motrin. Took about 15 minutes for the pain to go away... but other than that no pains. Should I call my doctor?

I know it sounds gross but while taking a shower check first to see if you can feel it. If you cannot get to the doctor so they can do a sono and make sure it didn't enter into your body or tear your uterine wall.
Otherwise it probably just fell out during the bleeding like mine did so I never even saw it.

I would have it checked up on because I know there can be a lot of complications. I was lucky and have had mine for 3 years and have not had a period for 3 years, its amazing. However all the complications and stories freaked me out, so I'm having it taken out this fall.
ETA: forgot to add that I didn't bled a lot when I first got it but that doesn't mean its necessarily abnormal, it confuses your body a bit.

I got it back in 2006 and had it for 5 years. Loved it. I did spot on and off for what seemed like forever, but it was about 4-5 weeks. Then nothing. For 5 years. I loved it.

I'm sorry you are going through this! I got mine in March 2009 and I just had it removed 3 weeks ago so we can TTC#2.
When I first got it it spotted for a few days and that was it. my next period was heavy and only lasted an extra day. then I didn't have any periods after that only a little occasional spotting. I LOVED it!!! I would definitely have them check on it ASAP! I would not be comfortable with that much bleeding

took me a couple of months of spotting and that first month was constant bleeding. Annoying.. but by month 6 i was TOTALLY period free and have been for 3yrs! loving it!

I spotted on and off for close to 3 months. In that time I had 2 weeks fo heavy bleeding. I went to the doctor and he did a sono to confirm placement.

I had the copper T. Same experience but i'm sorry to tell you it never got better for me because it moved out of place (did not leave the uterus but just moved). Before I knew what the reason was I would be bleeding to death for 2 weeks. Had it removed after about 3 months I think. Plus it gave me a bacterial infection. No fan here.
