Drying up breast milk
Now that DS needs to be on a formula for his milk protein allergy and I can no longer BF and suggestions how to get my milk to dry up? I've been pumping for only a few minutes and increasing the length between pumping...it's only been 24 hours but my breasts are killing me. I'm using ice packs which help a bit...any other suggestions. I've read a lot of conflicting advice on various websites.

Drying up breast milk
I put frozen cabbage leaves in a super tight sports bra. I only pumped a few times just to get rid of the full feeling and took ibuprofen. It took about 2-3 days to feel better.

Put fresh cabbage leaves in a sports bra. Google it. It really works, though!

Drying up breast milk
Cold fresh cabbage leaves in a fitted sports bra !!! Ice packs! I took benadryl also . I'm not 100% sure if the benadryl helped but i did dry up fairly quick. I would try not to pump- I found that made it worse ! If necessary just hand express a bit. It took about 3 days for the pain to subside.
