testing without insurance coverage?
I'm a week out from my second loss in 3 months, this time after seeing a heartbeat (my first loss was a chemical)
My doctor sent the baby in for testing to see if this time was a chromosomal issue, and if not wants to send me for testing. I was told not to expect results back for another month but I want to get the ball rolling and want to explore my options as I'm pretty sure I dont have any IF-related insurance coverage.
Do most REs run the same kinds of tests? Does it generally cost the same? If you dont have IF coverage is there any shot at getting some of this testing covered in some way? If not, what should I expect it to cost?
What is the testing like? I plan to reach out to a few different REs starting next week (too overwhelmed to act on it yet) -- any recommendations for who to go to? Ideally someone in the city or Nassau who wont make me wait months for an appt.
If it makes a difference, I have a healthy perfect 2 yo who was conceived easily.
