Tutoring price questions?
For elementary aged students, how much do you think is acceptable to pay for private tutoring? (1 hour)
What if it was in a group of 2 children, 1 hour?
3 children, 1 hr?
Thanks so much!

Do you mind me asking where you found your tutor?

The library. Ask at your school or at another local school. There are also a bunch on craigslist but idk how I feel about that.

Tutoring price questions?
I researched this (help from my DS teacher & other Moms) range is from $50-$75 per hr. I use a tutor that is Board Cert. In PA. I use her for Math (5th & now 6th) she charges $20 per hr untill she is NYS cert. She is great VERY organized & thorough.

Re: Tutoring price questions?
Before I had kids I use to tutor. I'm a NYS certified elementary school teacher (PreK - 6) and I would charge $50/hr.

Tutoring price questions?
My cousin recently told me that she has hired a local college kid to tutor her son(she went to the school and spoke to someone there - but I'm not sure who) and she pays $20/hour

Tutoring price questions?
if you're interested in a tutor my mom is a retired DOE 2nd grade teacher/math coach. she worked for 30 years. now she tutors during retirement. i think she charges $60, but (not just saying this cause she's my mom), she is an excellent teacher! let me know if you'd like her info!

It really depends on the tutor's credentials. Things to consider: How long has she been teaching? What grades has she taught? What areas is she certified in? Ideally you want someone who is certified, has a number of years teaching experience, and specializes in your area of need.
I am an elementary school teacher and I also tutor after school. I currently charge $60 an hour for 1 student and $45 an hour per child for 2 students or more. If the child lives near me and I don't have to drive far I give a better rate. I also give a better rate when I tutor the child more than 1 session in a week.
If you need a tutor send me a FM for more details! I will design instruction to meet the needs of your child and I bring all of my own materials. I could probably give you a better rate depending on where you are located.
Good luck!

Tutoring price questions?
Totally agree with the above poster. I have 12 years experience and charge $60 for one child, $50 if there are 2 that I am tutoring at the same time. I differentiate instruction if need be. I will be on maternity leave come November. If you live locally, I would be interested. FM mail me with any questions.
