crawling??
what is the range of when babies crawl? i know every kid is different.
dd moves non stop on her mat, scootching back and forth, in circles, and just started going up on her knees and basically projecting herself forward. she is 4.5 months. do you think i have an early crawler on my hands or will she just keep doing this for a while?

Re: crawling??
I think your baby is an early crawler. My DS crawls in circles for his toys. He is six months and started this a month ago. I am not sure when he will start actually going forward. As of now, I can safely leave him on the rug.

Re: crawling??
You may have an early crawler. My DD was on her hands and knees around 6 months and rocking back and forth for quite some time but would not crawl. FInally right before she turned 8 months she started crawling and has been non-stop ever since!!

crawling??
Mine just turned 5 months and isn't doing the knee thing but she shimmees using her head to propel herself to what she wants to get. She gets so pissed that she can't get there quickly and she usually yells at the toy till she reaches it.

Re: crawling??
It depends on the baby. My dd1 never crawled. She scooted and then one day just stood up and started walking. My dd2 is 7 months old and keeps trying to crawl but can't seem to coordinate her front with her back. She has pulled herself up to a standing position though so she might skip over crawling too.

Re: crawling??
Sounds like you have an early crawler. one of my DD's did that and was crawling at 5 months. On the other hand my DS had no desire and waiting until 11 months to actually crawl.

Re: crawling??
DD started army crawling at 7 months. Now at 9 months, she is mostly crawling on her hands and knees.

Re: crawling??
Sounds like an early crawler but it may take time to actually crawl b/c that requires more strength and coordination.
DS was army crawling by 5 months and crawling by 7 months. He's been standing and cruising since 7.5 months.

crawling??
DS didn't start crawling until 10 months (late) but did the rocking back and forth. He started walking just at 12 months.
