Feeding your toddler veggies
18 month old DS is starting to get picky with food. Can anyone share how they sneak veggies into their kid's meals? I made broccoli cheddar soup yesterday hoping he would eat it and he justly kept spitting it out. Thanks!!

Try different ones. Squash goes over well My kids love spinach. They are hot & cold to broccoli. They will eat ravioli with anything inside!

Re: Feeding your toddler veggies
I just put it on the fork with meat.
So if I give her meatloaf and carrots, I put the carrot on first then the meatloaf.
So she sees the meatloaf on the fork first. If I lead with a veg, forget it.
eta: And I make sure the veg is super soft so she really can't spit it out, by the time she realizes it's there, it's mush.

Maybe try putting spinach or broccoli in mac and cheese. You can try sneaking some in scrambled eggs, meatloaf, or quesadillas. What about the pouches? DD will eat anything they put in those things!

Oooh this is a great idea! DS gobbles up the meatballs I make but doesn't touch veggies lately. I have to try this.
To the OP, I'm having similar issues. Lately I mix together what he likes (usually chicken and beans) with veggies on one plate. He doesn't intentionally go for the veggies but a few sneak in. I also sometimes add veggies to his scrambled eggs.

I have done this, and also added shredded carrot. Same with meatloaf.
I have a great pancake recipe that I make with butternut squash.
DS also loves the Trader joes frozen spinach pizza. It's actually the only pizza he really likes. He only just recently realized there's spinach in it.

Re: Feeding your toddler veggies
When DS started getting picky about vegetables I started putting it in a smoothie masked by fruit.
I put spinach, yogurt, berries, banana and a little milk in the blender and he couldn't even taste the spinach. he drank it right up.
you could do other combinations with steamed carrot, apple, pear avocado blueberry spinach mango banana
kale and sweet potato is also great to use.
