how do you use linkedin?

I have an acct and have a decent amount of connections but I am curious how people use to find new jobs.

I wonder that too. I am guessing more or less it's just another place to put yourself out there and let people know if you are truly looking for work.

I never go on mine and just checked it based on this post, and saw that an ex BF viewed my profile 3 days ago.

Look on the job boards. There are tons of jobs posted on there and you can put in your own search criteria.

Network. Let everyone know you are looking for a new job and to contact you if they know of any openings. Ask people to connect you to their connections in a similar industry or who work at a company you're interested in.

Recruiters LOVE LinkedIn b/c it's an easy way for them to find people looking for a job. Keep your profile up-to-date and professional. You can change your header to something that says you're seeking a new role.
