Renting a Vacation house in the summer - suggestions needed!!
Please share where you have rented a vacation house over the summer and how you rented it - did you you a service or agent??
Lake George, North Carolina, Maine, New Hampshire...I don't care where really. Just looking to go somewhere with the whole family this summer.

We've rented a house the soft two summers in Niantic, CT. I actually found it the first year on Craigslist. Now I just contact the lady directly. Bit I have also rented houses in the Poconos and Vermont using vrbo.com and cyberrentals.com. Homeaway.com is another good site to look at.

I have never been to either of these places but I know people who go to oceancity Maryland and the outter banks in NC every year.

They rented it through homeaway.com

My family and I have rented several homes/condos in North Myrtle Beach, SC through Elliot Rentals. We've never had issues with them and I think the prices are very reasonable compared to the hotels in the area.

DH and I vacationed in North Hero, VT this summer on Lake Champlain.
We looked into house rentals, but decided that we really preferred a bed 'n breakfast type of experience. However, I know plenty of house rentals do exist there, and we had a blast!

Just rented a house in lake george for june i used www.vrbo.com found some nice houses and seen reasonable

Cape Cod- Beautiful Condo
Just rented a condo in Vermont using homeaway.com for Feb. break. I think I like homeaway better than vrbo.com. It was more user friendly.
