Nannys birthday
Our nanny has been with us since August. It's her birthday this week. Any ideas for a present? I was thinking an Amex gift card and flowers from dd but am not sure
Any ideas???

I always give my nanny a paid day off for her bday and some type of gift. Clothes, gift cards, jewlery

gift card is always nice - I usually get her a cupcake or something and have the kids sing happy birthday

If your nanny is like mine, she needs the money. I'd give either cash or a gift card. Gifts (flowers, jewelry, etc) are nice but nannies usually don't make a ton of money so that's preferable, IMO.

I feel awkward giving cash as well. We give a gift certificate to Macy's - this way she can use it for herself or for her family if she wants.

Thanks everyone. I think a gift card is a good way to go -- She could use the $ and I feel better than giving cash. If I had my act together I could have gotten her a nice scarf or something too -- but time is not on my side... LOL.. Ahhh, the joys or being a working mother!

We give her a $50 gift card for her bday. I think last year was Macy's or Century 21.
