I know you don't want to go too Far East but this place looks pretty cool!

Barn wedding

If I was having another wedding I would definitely choose an unusual location like this!

Since you are going to be in the huntington area check out Mill Pond in Centerport. Beautiful scenery and delicious food. The Bonwitt In Commack is worth looking into too.

i emailed them a few days ago but havent heard back yet.

I would call or go there.

The one time I looked into using it was for my e-party and the woman I dealt with was a total flake.

More importantly, I don't think they can hold 90 people with room for a dj and dance floor. They do have a room upstairs that may be bigger but that was out for me because they only have stairs and that didn't work for me because my grandfather wouldn't be able to do them.

Eta: my siblings and I hosted an anniversary party for my parents at the Snapper Inn. The price was very reasonable and they were very accommodating. My cousin who attended the party we threw liked the place so much she had her e-party there later that year.

Re: Help me pick a wedding venue!

I got married at the Fox Hollow as well and it was beautiful. Highy recommend it. congrats!!

I got married at Fox Hollow in their cocktail hour room. I think it's called The Winter Garden Pavillion. The roof is entirely sky lights, there is a bar, and plenty of room for a DJ. It wasn't all that expensive since it was their smallest room!

Shandon Court in East Islip!! Awesome food and the owners are the best!

I would def check them out too, and Irish Coffee Pub. Not so much in terms of outdoor space or nice views, but great food and both places are a pleasure to deal with. Both have beautiful larger reception rooms too! We've had many functions at both and have always been very happy.

Shandon Court is nice, but nothing outside. Same with Irish Coffee Pub.

Just a parking lot.

If Ronkonkoma isn't too far.
Check out Beach Club Estate or Windows on The Lake.

Lombardi's on the Sound is very nice too! We went there for a wedding a few years ago. ceremony was right on the water, outside. Followed by cocktail hour outside. And since it's Lombardi, you know the food will be great!

So happy for you!

We had our wedding which was 2nd for DH, first for me at mileridge cottage. we had a Sunday daytime wedding. We had a lot of older specal relatives also and we wanted our time and location to be as easy for them as possible.
It is kinda hall-ish but it is also like a little cottage.
It's been 11 years since my wedding Chat Icon but they did a beautiful job.
My coworkers BIL just got married at windows on the lake and I'm so impressed with how pretty the pictures are. I know it was very affordable.

More than anything I just want to say congrats and good luck and there really is a happy ending! Chat Icon

Re: Help me pick a wedding venue!

Congrats!!!! That's awesome news.

I just went to an event at the Milleridge Cottage the other night and have been there before (both times non-weddings though). It's probably just the package but I don't think the food is that good there.

Also a family friend got married at Stewart Manor recently.

We had a blast.

Can't wait to hear what you choose.

Re: Help me pick a wedding venue!

I got married at the Crescent Beach Club. It is normally way out of our budget but they had a cancellation and they came way down in price. We booked about 4-5 months before our wedding. There are stairs but there is an elevator. Its right on the beach. We got married outside and had cocktail hour there. Then the room has huge windows overlooking the ocean. It was actually in the Wolf of Wall Street Chat Icon . Again, I can't promise the rate will be low but worth checking out.

Swan Club. Gorgeous outdoor gardens at that time of year and quite reasonable too.

Help me pick a wedding venue!

Just wanted to say congrats!

We had the hardest time finding something on Long Island that wasn't even remotely like a catering hall-we didn't want that feel either, and received a lot of the same suggestions.

It's probably too far out, but we had an incredible wedding at Jedediah Hawkins. It was truly different from even the "non catering hall" places people have mentioned.

That being said, I would also suggest honu-we kept going back and forb between what vibe we wanted, but I had them on my list to contact for a more swanky/modern affair.

I don't think they're open anymore. I think it's Amicale. But maybe I'm confused?

If you are looking at Snapper Inn, you should look at the Riverview right down the road.
