Neurosurgeon rec for back surgery
Has anybody had back surgery or their family member has? Can you recommend a neurosurgeon on Long Island?
Edit. Or orthopedic surgeon specializing in back surgery (spine)

My husband used Dr. Nancy Epstein he had 3 herniated discs and sciatica, 3 years later and he still feels great. Good luck!

Dr M. Chris Overby. When we were researching for my DH, one of the surgery techs came in and said he was the best and chose him for his own surgery.

I just had surgery in jan. I used dr sathi in patchogue he is great at what he does bedside manner isn't that fantastic but he is an excellent surgeon.

harvinder sandhu from hospital for special surgery. he comes into the uniondale office a few times a month. he did 2 of my 4 back surgeries, and i would use him again in a heartbeat. very good at explaining things, making you feel like you understand what is going on, won't rush into surgery if he doesn't think it will help. plus HSS is the top orthopedic hospital in the country, their procedures for post surgery are so much better. i had my first 2 surgeries at LIJ and learned the hard way, its not the place for back surgery. won't ever go back to LIJ.

Dr mullins. Girls recd him from here. Had multiple opinions. Just had surgery in nov. He is beyond caring and skilled!

My mom is able to walk today thanks to dr. Sathi. My brother had stopped by my parents' house and he my mom on the floor unable to move from the waist down. He immediately called an ambulance which took her to the nearest hospital which was Brookhaven. As it turned out, one of her discs shattered and a fragment of bone lodged in her ssciatic nerve, nearly severing it. Dr Sathib installed plates and.screws and repaired everything. He is amazing.
