bottle warmer - yay or nay
i used one with my son & im thinking of not using one this time around. i feel like my son was SO spoiled with having his bottles warmed & i remember running around like crazy out in public trying to find hot water to warm his bottle when he wouldnt drink it at room temp
wondering if anyone has never warmed bottles before & how it worked for them. im planning on using formula right away so my thought was to just give him room temp water in his bottles

We never warmed our son's bottles and it is great. We use water that is room temperature. One of my friends recommended that and I am sooo glad that I listened!

We didn't warm DD's bottles. She took them room temp and/or straight fom the fridge. Best decision we ever made.

I use the bottle warmer for dd but only when the bottle is from the fridge and I only get it to room temp (we use rtf that has to be refrigerated).
She will take it straight out of the fridge too tho.

We didn't use a bottle warmer and I am SO glad we didn't. SIL and BIL used it for my neice and they can't seem to break her out of the habit. She's 16 months old and still wants her milk warmed up. They even tried to lower it 30 seconds to start getting her off of it and she noticed and wouldn't take it.

no!! don't get in the habit of warming up, life is so much easier when they take it room temp or cold. DS took bottles from the fridge at 2 weeks old, its fine. no problems when we were out or transitioned to milk.

This. I wanted to be able to feed DS at anytime under any condition. I felt that if I had the warmer he would be "spoiled" and not take it if I couldn't warm it up for him. Worked great never a complaint!

Yay! I had one where you could store two bottles over night with a mini freezer pack to keep them cold. Came through when he was a newborn. I breastfed/pumped, so every night I would put two bottles of breast milk in the cooler so when he would wake, all I had to do was put the water in the warmer, which was stored in tubes on the sides, place the bottle in, and a few seconds later is was warmed up! Didn't ever need to leave the bed When supplemented, I didn't need it, would just use room temp bottled water with the formula.

Re: bottle warmer - yay or nay
We had one but the first time we tried using it we felt like it was taking too long... if we were taking the bottle from the fridge we would just sit the bottle in a glass of warm water for a few minutes before we gave it to him or we would use room temperature water.
