Baby Blues......,..
I had my DD one week ago and I have terrible anxiety. I am extremely paranoid. I am up all night looking through my windows and am terrified that my kids are not safe and that someone will come a steal them. I've been talking to family and friends and they give me words of encouragement. Has anyone else felt this way? I hate this feeling

Speak to your doctor. I recently got diagnosed with post partum anxiety and that is a sign of it. I am taking certain viatmins to help with the anxiety. I was driving my husband crazy and I could barely stand myself. DEF speak to your doctor ASAP. I'm 8 months PP and I'm still suffering from it but it's A LOT better than it was.

Please talk to your dr. There's no reason to suffer. Friends and family can be there for you, but the dr can help you get through this until your hormones stabilize again.

Please call your obgyn immediately. The doctor is there to help you. I wish I could give you a big hug. Having a newborn is not the easiest time in the world. Do you have anyone close that can take the baby for a few hours so you can sleep? That might help you, but still reach out to your obgyn. I am so glad that you reached out here to ask.

I didn't get this post partum but have had anxiety issues in the past. Definitely speak with someone professional either a medical doctor/psychologist or both. Anxiety is a terrible beast but it will get better with some help! There are lots of options for treatment both pharmaceutical and/or behavioral (therapy/support groups). Lots of hugs, it is tough!

Yes with my first. I was miserable. I had anxiety attacks everyday especially when the sun would go down. I was sad, cried a lot, depressed. It lasted a whole to the point it was bordering on PPD. It's an awful time and I really hope it passes very quickly for you. It doesn't help it's so cold out. Getting out of the house helped me a lot. I went to a new mothers group with my son when he was about 6 weeks old. It was wonderful to sit and listen to other mothers talk about how they where feeling. I took it at CFA in Smithtown. It's been 5 years and I still hang out with those mothers.
I somehow didn't get it with my second, but I'm worried about this pregnancy. I'm already feeling anxiety and depression. I'm worried what will happen after baby comes.

Yes I had HORRIBLE PPA with my 1st. I went to therapy twice a week and fought medicine till I was 7 months PP and couldn't take it anymore. I finally took the Zoloft after my drs all recommending I did for months and I felt tremendously better.
I plan on starting it back up right after this baby is born and not waiting bc that was torture. Plus I felt like I missed out on enjoying my DD as much as I could have.
I know how horrible it is, and I def recommend talking to your OBGYN about this immediately so you can get help. It does get better!
