If you sub...
If you are a substitute teacher, how many districts do you sub for? Currently I am a per diem sub in one school district with 2 elementary schools. I am considering to add another district, but I am not sure. Any advice would help. FYI, it's not for the money, I am more concerned with trying to get exposure to be hired full-time, but I don't want to over-extend myself. I also work nights as a SETSS teacher. Thanks in advance for any advice.

If you sub...
When I subbed, I work in 3 districts and two catholic schools so that I could work pretty much every day and get the exposure.

I subbed for two districts when I was a per-diem. I've been a perm sub for 5 years.

I subbed in one district but there were five elementary schools. I worked 3-4 times a week. Just got hired as a leave replacement in that district. I would not sub in too many districts and just focus on one or two to work at to really get yourself known.

Re: If you sub...
Thanks everyone all your posts had good points. At this stage, until I have more permanent type work, I can only sub 2-3 days a week (childcare and some other issues) which I do already with this one district. I work evenings 3 days a week too. Thanks again.
