Disney not so scary halloween

We are planning a visit down to Disney the last week of October. I haven't been to Disney since I was 5. I am a little confused about the Halloween "party". I know it adds quite a lot to the price of a daily ticket. We are planning on going for 5 nights. We are going to go to MK and AK. Do the normal evening fireworks and shows at Disney not happen b/c of Halloween?

My kids will be 4,1,1 so I'm not sure this extra Halloween thing is worth it.

So confused....

You don't have to go there for the day and then do the Halloween at night. You can go to another park and then I believe they let you in early like 4PM, but they don't announce that. I know it's supposed to start later.

It is a separate price and only people who pay can get it. Years ago it was $50/pp but not sure now. It is basically trick or treating for the kids and other fun things. Most rides are still open too.

Well the kids under 3 are free so you would only pay for the adults and the 4 year old. The party is a must do if you have kids. My 15 month loved it when we took her. I swore someday I will take my kids back. My daughter at the time loved the character dance parties, and the parade and fireworks.

Some people do not use a ticket that day. They sleep in and only use the Halloween party ticket. The party starts at 7 but they let you in around 4 on that ticket.

It is cute. Characters in costumes (families dress up and majority of the kids dressed up). They have trick or treating stations, dance parties with the characters, a special parade and special fireworks.

If you do not have a ticket for the party you will have to leave the park by 7. The non party nights have the regular electrical parade and wishes fireworks.

The night we went there were no lines on any ride and everything was a walk on. They let us go on dumbo and pooh without getting off. But if you go closer to Halloween it will be more crowded.

This was my most favorite time of year to go. The party was lots of fun, kids get dressed up. I'm hoping to do it again soon!
