Disney in September - Not So Scary Halloween Party?
Has anyone been to the Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom?
We have a parkhopper ticket that expires Septemer 30, 2013. We are thinking of doing a long weekend (4 nights). I believe the crowds are supposed to be moderate in September since the kids are back in school.

We did & had so much fun!!! DDs were 4 1/2 & 2. We relaxed the day (was suppose to be a pool day, but rained, so we road the monorail & explored other resorts). We headed over after dinner. My girls were snow white & Cinderella. The hubby & I were Lilo & Stitch. (everyone complemented our costumes & it was such a last minute brainstorm by my husband...because everything I suggested he said no to)
We got pictures with the princesses AND their princess' which was GREAT for my girls.
We also got a great family pic with ALL 7 dwarfs. The boo to you parade is GREAT & almost weekly the girls want us to pull it up on YouTube.
ETA: they give HANDFULS of candy to the kids all the trick or treat stops & even during the parade they hand out goofy lollipops.

Re: Disney in September - Not So Scary Halloween Party?
Party was AMAZING!! We had so much fun at the party that we cancelled our "Pirates and Pals Cruise" and bought tickets for a 2nd party to enjoy our last night in Disney!!
By far the best firework display, amazing parade and so much fun to be in costume (we all dressed up.....this is the only time adults can wear costumes in the park).
The first party night was dead and the 2nd party night ended up being a sold out night and we still had barely any wait times for rides and we still got great spots for the fireworks & parade!
They also do special "magic shots" just for that night. Some of my favorite pics from our photopass are from the party nights!
DEF DEF GO!!!

We went on Halloween last year and it was awesome! Crowded at first but we just walked onto rides for the last half the night. My kids had a nice nap midday and were such troopers the entire night - we stayed til closing. The candy lines were fast and efficient too! We are going to make it a every other year trip.
I'd definitely recommend it!

This sounds like so much fun! I want to do it.
I'm a bit concerned that it is hurricane season in September. I would hate for it to rain on the day we buy tickets for this party. We are looking to go the last weekend of September.

It was so much fun & you can you tube the parade. We went down the week of 9-16 & only the 1 day was rainy. BUT luckily it cleared up in time for us to enjoy the party.
Of course there were the typical mid-day showers. And 1 night POURED buckets just after the electric parade, while waiting for wishes. But luckily no hurricanes.

We went 9/27-10/3/08. DD#1 was about 15 months.
We had about 10 mins of rain one day during and afternoon break when we were in our room, and one morning it rained a bit early on around 6 or 7 am but done before we hit rope drop. Otherwise it was humid and really hot (think 90s). Most nights were beautiful but we had one cool night we were cold with sweatshirts on and needed pants to watch the fireworks from the Poly where we were staying.
I second the youtube suggestion. The parade is catchy. They decorate nicely and my DD loved it. We would love to go back for it some year. They have dance parties with the characters in costume. My DD danced and held hands with chip and dale and donald. Our night was quiet and there were no lines for any of the rides which was great, but don't always expect that.
