maxi dress
Where do you buy yours? I am only 5'2, curvy and big chested. So I fear this will only make me look shorter and frumpy. I am looking to add these to my summer wardrobe.

They are everywhere. Unfortunately I don't think they fall under the everybody can wear them category. I think on the tallest people they make them look pg. I have one for backyard use only. Jmo

Re: maxi dress
Marshalls has a ton right now, adn many of them seem like they have enough fabric on top to wear a good supportive bra beneath.

Re: maxi dress
Thank you ladies. In the summer I am going to be well into my pregnancy so I wanted something light to wear and easy. I am going to have to try them on. I hate being so short sometimes!

I'm short and plus size so I've never gone FULL maxi but I bought these high-low dresses from Target that I love.. I have them in three different colors, they are so comfy and flattering.. (and CHEAP!)
Ugh.. I cant find them online! I'll try to take a pick when I get home!

Re: maxi dress
I'm 5'3" and curvy but thin. I just carry my weight in my wide hips and butt. I loooooooove them. I practically live in them in the summer. I feel like they actually make me look taller (mostly). I always prefer something with straps since I'm NOT busty lol, but even strapless is comfy to me. A lot of the maxi dresses I have have elastic waistlines, but you could always add a belt for some waistline definition. I buy from Target, H&M, Strawberry, Kohl's, some cheapie stores that I love... try 'em, you might like 'em!

I carry most of my weight in the same areas and would it look silly to wear the belt when I will be well into my pregnancy?

Ahhh, yeah, that might look silly. I wouldn't even know where you'd put it, KWIM? But I say show that bump off! I know I would be!

Same for me word for word. We have the same build! I love my maxis. Although I have to hem most of them.

Re: maxi dress
Try cheapie stores like Walmart and Kmart. I am 5'4 and I find they don't drag as much because they tend to be made for more junior sizes. Plus not everyone will have the same patterns and colors because most people I know don't shop in these places.
I've gotten compliments on all of mine and they are cheap and from these 2 stores mostly.

Re: maxi dress
I have a bunch of maxi dresses from Old Navy that are super cute! Those are the only ones I can wear because they make them in petite sizing and I am 5'2.
