Please help...I want to make cake pops...
and I want to know where to start...
I have heard that wiltons is not good to use but merckens, make n mold or clausen is better but are there any other candy suggestions?
Has anyone used Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Coating Formula? I have read that is good as well.
Where should I buy the supplies?
Just wondering is it really worth the time & effort if I can buy them ready made?
Thanks!!!

Try posting on the dining board. Those girls would know.
Wilton's isn't good. Clasens or Merkens are better for melting.
The sell cake pop gear at bed bath and beyond too.

Wilton stinks..i have used the Make n Mold at AC Moore and it will get the job done. Its not too hard to do. I watched You tube videos and thats how I learned..
Heres one of the many tutorials i have watched. http://divascancook.com/2012/04/how-to-make-cake-pops-easy-best.html

its super easy - you dont need a mold. Just bake a cake then when it cools crumble it up and mix a can of frosting (or 3/4 depends how you like it) Roll dough into balls and put in lollipop stick and let it cool in refrigerator. Then melt whatever kind of chocolate you want - my advice is to melt small amounts at a time because it starts to harden after awhile. Dip the pops in melted chocolate and cool again!

How much chocolate do I need to make a couple dozen? If I got one package of the chocolate in each color is that enough.

I usually get around 36 cake pops from one box of mix.

I don't make cake pops but I use that for my chocolate covered strawberries & chocolate covered marshmallows & recommend it.
They actually just started a points program, so here is my referral link if you'd like to use it.
