Donating eye glasses
Anyone know where I can donate my old frames? I remember reading somewhere that they can be donated, but I don't remember where. Thanks.

LensCrafters takes them! they refurb them and use them for people in 3rd world countries that can't afford them

yep that's where I drop mine off
Given how HORRIBLE my eye sight is, I hope it really does help someone out. -7.5 & -7.0. But then again.. hey they are getting Coach frames! LOL Current frames are Tiffany so hubby is like "You know they'll just resell your frames and use the lenses by themselves right. *shrug*

Yes. My last job we helped to do volunteer work for half day once a month and one of the jobs we volunteered for was going through donated glasses, cleaning and changing the prescription. They get sent to third world countried.

The lions club also takes them. I know in patchogue by the patchogue theater there used to be a drop box there.
You can also look at your local lions club and donate there or mail them in.

The Lions have drop boxes in many locations. Out east, one is in Southrifty Pharmacy in Southampton.

Good to know, I have these nice frames I bought to get me to wear my glasses. Then a few months later, I got the surgery. Glad they wont go to waste. LOL
