BM regal vs BM Aura?
Is the upgrade worth the nearly $20 extra per gallon??

I don't know which is more expensive, but we prefer Regal...unless they've changed the formula for Aura. I used Aura about 7 years ago and hated the consistency. Granted, we have a painter these days, but he works with the BM Regal. He's never requested Aura.
ETA: We've used the Natura as well in the past and we liked that better than the Aura. But in general, our painter uses Regal.

Painters said I should use aura...but I just can't justify the cost!!

BM regal vs BM Aura?
When going with BM, we get Regal, but we just switched back to Sherwin Williams, and I love going to their stores because they keep everything you order in their system - no matter which store you go to. It came in handy this weekend when, in the process of our kitchen reno, our living room needed a little repainting. We painted 2 years ago, had no recollection what the name of the color was and no paint left over. We went into SW and they had it stored in their system and we were able to to the touch ups with no issues (and you would never know that it wasn't all painted at the same time).

Our painter liked BM Regal. We used BM aura for DS room because it has fewer chemicals.

We've had both in our house. The last round of panting we had the painter use Aura. It looks really good.
IMHO, you're probably paying good money to paint whatever you are painting, I'm assuming a few hundred per room.
How many gallons is it really? 10? if you're doing a whole house. So maybe $200?
If the painter is recommending it as what he likes to work with, what he thinks will come out the best, I'd follow that.
