Rude to ask neighbors about dog vaccine status?
Dh and I will be picking up our puppy next weekend. The breeder has told us we should keep her away from any dogs unless we know they have been fully vaccinated, until she is 4 months old.
We live in a townhouse, share a fence with a neighbor who has a dog and share a common area (that backs up to our fence) with another neighbor with a dog. DH wants to ask them the vaccination status of their dogs. I think it is kind of rude/presumptuous. What say you?

I don't think its rude to ask... especially for the safety of your pup. If they aren't vaccinated you need to make plans for that in how/where you walk your dog.
I think most dog owners know pups shouldn't be around other dogs not vaccinated .. I live in a condo complex and if some one asked me about it ... I wouldn't be offended and would completely understand.

ITA! And that puppy is precious! My family has had 3 huskies. They're awesome dogs!

Be VERY careful that YOUR dog does no go near another dogs poop before she is fully vaccinated. That's one of the big issues with puppies.
I would have no problem if a neighbor asked me.
