Company for variance?
Has anyone hired a company to help with a variance? Any advice or recommendations? We are Town of North Hempstead. TIA!

What do you need help for exactly? Usually an architect handles a variance or the homeowner

Our architect won't handle it- I think because the town is so difficult. He gave us a list of companies we could reach out to. As it turns out, many of THEM won't even work with Town of N Hempstead. We have 2 lawyers willing to work with us, but we just hoping to get some recommendations.

Also TNH, who were a pain because they almost didn't accept it. They want a very detailed variance down to the height of the placement of your gutters!
Can't tell you how many times I've wished bad and cursed everyone in that building (under my breathe of course).

ToNH is a pain all around. Our contractors partner with HLS Expediting, maybe you can google for her info (Heather Sanderson), unfortunately I forgot my cell! I will update from home with info.

If it is a complex variance issue you may want to look into using a lawyer who can argue your case.
The variance hearing can be quick or not. It really depends what you are looking for the variance for.
