Another Commack question(s)
We have been looking in Commack and so far really like the area to the east of Kings Park Road (around Wichard, Peppermill, Fulton, the college streets, etc).
Any feedback on that area? schools?
Something thats also important to us is having a sense of jewish community-Im not looking for a jewish only area but I also dont want my kids to be the only jewish kids in their class,

Another Commack question(s)
When we were looking we fell in love with a house on Wichard (unfortunately we were out bidded). I loved that street and of course loved the area just north of wichard- Country Wood Estates.

Commack and KP, as well as most other North shore areas in the vicinity are a mix of Catholic, Christian and Jewish. So no worries! Did you know about the JCC in Commack? I know alot of people who send their children to the JCC for camps, swimming, etc.

We love that area. We actually bid on a house on Wichard but the taxes were 18k and I just couldn't commit. Peppermill is nice but anything north of Wichard in Country Woods is beautiful. Definitely a good mix of Catholic and Jewish.

Thanks Ladies, Yes, I know about the JCC-have even been to their purim carnival and I have a few friends (although all live in dix hills) who have their kids in daycare there, but wasnt sure about the different neighborhoods. We looked in country woods, its beautiful but the only thing I didnt like was that most of the homes dont have basements. I really like that wichard/peppermill/fulton area but why are the taxes so damn high?
