IVF and insurance
I have never had IVF coverage before but the new policy has a $10k max for IVF. I know when I paid OOP it was more than what they would get from an insurance company but what do you know or think $10k would get you from insurance? 2 fresh cycles? A fresh a frozen or 2? Meds are separate and not included in the 10k max.

IVF and insurance
At least 2 fresh cycles. We had 15k max and did 3 fresh cycles and still have more money left.
ETA: that included icsi.

IVF and insurance
with my first insurance (OXF) we have a 10K max, that included unlimited IUI's and 2 fresh cycles, we had to pay for our FET out of pocket about 3k, also didn't cover cryo.

IVF and insurance
We had 2 fresh IVF cycles with our 10k max. I don't think we exhausted the coverage completely either...
ETA - I used RSofNY

Re: IVF and insurance
I have paid out of pocket as well but hope to have coverage soon. RSoNY told me $10,000.00 would allow me 1 1/2 IVF cycles. I guess it depends on how much meds and stim time?? not sure.

Re: IVF and insurance
See what the doctors contractual amount is with your insurance company. I have a $10k max and did two frozen cycles. They were $5k each so I thought I was done. Surprise....the doctor has an arrangement with my insurance for $1850 per frozen cycle so I still have 2 cycles left. Glad to hear u have coverage!!!!!! :)

Re: IVF and insurance
With RSofNY, you would be able to get a 1 fresh and 1 frozen....
Fresh is about 6500, frozen is 3500...
GOOD LUCK!!!
