Subchorionic Hematoma?
I guess this is my first official post on here. I'm about 7 weeks and had a sono today. We saw the baby and heard the heartbeat at 130bpm. So excited!
The sono also showed a small subchorionic hematoma. The doctor is not too concerned and said it's fairly common. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this they wouldn't mind sharing. Thanks!!

Re: Subchorionic Hematoma?
Yay! My understanding is that you might end up with some spotting/bleeding from the hematoma, but I've never read it causing any complications.... sometimes you don't even have the spotting and it just gets absorbed back into the body.

Congrats!!
I've heard of this before and there were no problems with the babies in both cases. Good Luck!

Re: Subchorionic Hematoma?
I had a huge SCH when I was pregnant with DD. It was scary because I experienced very heavy bleeding off and on for about one week. After that, I had sporadic lighter bleeding until the SCH resolved itself. Just make sure that you lay down if you experience bleeding and call your doctor.

Re: Subchorionic Hematoma?
I also had it with one of my pregnancies and bled until about 28 weeks. It is more scary than anything but mine resolved itself and there were never any issues.

Re: Subchorionic Hematoma?
Yeayy!!! I had my spotting related to a SCH. The bleeding stopped around 9 weeks. They did tell me no heavy lifting or extreme activity for 2 weeks.

Re: Subchorionic Hematoma?
Crashing....
I had SCH with both successful pregnancies and bled heavily from around weeks 5 - 12. Bright red blood and tons of it! If you start bleeding, don't freak! I found that the bleeding got worse when I did physical stuff like lifting groceries or doing laundry. If you do start bleeding, u can call your dr and go in for a sono for peace of mind.

Re: Subchorionic Hematoma?
I had the same thing with DD (baby #2) and it was gone by 15w. It was smaller and I had no issues though I was warned I could spot or bleed.

Subchorionic Hematoma?
I had one and the only concern was bleeding. I did wake covered in blood (tmi it was so much it went though my pajamas and into my sheets). I was about 9 weeks along - baby was fine thankfully Dr told me I may experience bleeding/spotting throughout the pregnancy but aside from that once I never did

Subchorionic Hematoma?
I had a small subchorinic hematoma that caused spotting around eight weeks. It was gone by 12 weeks. You should take it easy.
