feeding schedule for 7 month old
i want to introduce a "lunch meal" for my 7 month old. please share your schedule. currently this si what we do:
9 am cereal + 2 fruit cubes (i make and freeze fruit / veggie purees)
930 - 4 oz BM
12 - 5 oz BM
230 - 5 oz BM
5 -4 oz BM
7 - BF
730 - 2 veggie cubes
830 - BF to sleep
i think i'm over feeding w/the BM during the day and i'd like to lower it - pls share any ideas/or your schedule TIA

feeding schedule for 7 month old
at 7m my DS ate 4 meals -- 7am oatmeal and jar fruit, 6 oz bottle. 11am vegetable, 6 oz bottle. 3pm fruit or veggie, oatmeal, 6 oz bottle. 7pm 6 oz bottle.
my DS is now 9m and my ped said he should get about 20 oz formula.

At 7 months old, your baby should be able to go longer than 2 or 2.5 hours between bottles. If I remember correctly, DS would go 4 hours between bottles then, and if he had a meal in there, it would be 6+ hours between bottles.
I'd up the 4 oz to 6 oz and see how your baby does.

My LO is 7 months old, her schedule is:
7am - 4oz formula bottle
9am- 3oz yogurt 2oz fruit puree
10:30-4oz BM bottle
12:30 - 4oz of veggie puree 2oz fruit puree
1:30- 4oz BM bottle
4:00 4oz BM bottle
6:00 Nurse when I get home
7:00 4oz Veggie/Meat Puree 2oz fruit puree
9-9:30 4 oz Formula bottle
My DD has never taken more than 4oz at a time and used to eat evry 2 and a half hours. BM gets digested much faster than Formula so just let baby eat. I dont think you are over feeding. Before age 1 90% of babys nutrients come from BM or formula. I would not take away feeding or space them out any differently.

i like this! - actually this might be exactly what we needed! thanks so much! the most i can get my girl to take is 5 oz.

Exactly that! We use the Yobaby stonyfield. She loves them. I will giver one container and then 2 oz of fruit puree with it.

Also wanted to add that my DD will wake at times around 4 am. Not every night but I will nurse her back to sleep. Bf babies wont eat more than they need, I truly believe if baby is hungry feed her. Nursing is her comfort. I have a big girl too. She is in the 99th percentile for both height and weight so I believe she is in a constant growth spurt. LOL
