Bed Rest after Transfer
How long were you told?
How literal did you take it?
I am bored out of my mind on my bed rest, and just curious what others did… not that I have any intentions of not listening to my dr.

Bed Rest after Transfer
I was never on bed rest. I did take it easy on transfer day, but nothing extreme.

Bed Rest after Transfer
I was never told to go on bed rest. I was told to take it easy but go about my daily life.
Transfer 1 I didn't go to work that day or the day after and stayed in bed watching movies. Bfn.
Transfer 2 I went out to lunch on the way home from the transfer, was out and about that day after my big Xanax nap. Back at work day after. Bfp.
Think about all the people who get preg naturally (think of the mystical unicorn) that just have sex and go running, etc etc.

Re: Bed Rest after Transfer
I was told to rest the day of my transfer. No heavy lifting and nothing strenuous. I went home, watched "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" TRILOGY, ordered take out and the next day went back to work. Got BFP.

Re: Bed Rest after Transfer
I was told to go right to bed the day of my transfers. I was to try to lay flat and wasn't to go up or down stairs once on bed. On days 2 and 3, I was allowed to lay on the couch, upright. I spent those days eating all the "sticky foods/drink" (walnuts, pineapple core, and purple grape juice). One of these occurrences resulted in my DD. The other has me 34 weeks pregnant.

Re: Bed Rest after Transfer
I took the day of the transfer and the next day off from work and kept a pillow under my butt to elevate. I didn't eat anything special and just took the time to relax. Not sure if it helped or not but both my eggs took and I'm pregnant with twins.
Good luck!

Nothing re bedrest, only instructions were not to go up and down stairs for a few days, take elevator if available.

Bed Rest after Transfer
The two cycles I rested for two days - BFN. The one cycle I pretty much carried on as usual - DS
I think it's a toss up honestly. If you don't do it and you wind up with a BFN, you'll be upset with yourself so I'd just follow your doctor's advice.

Bed Rest after Transfer
I was told two days of bed rest and no stairs, and then could resume normal activities but no strenuous exercise, no lifting over 5lbs and no swimming. And of course eat like your pregnant.

Re: Bed Rest after Transfer
I was always told just the day of transfer. Having said that, I have always done different things from very strict bed rest for almost a week, to none at all. It didn't make a difference, honestly,

I was never told no stairs and was going up and down a couple times the day of and after the transfer. I guess all Drs are different but like someone else said, do what you feel will work for you and what you won't later regret. I sneezed right when I first got into the car as I was leaving from the transfer and thought that would cause a BFN because the eggs would get dislodged. I was obviously wrong. I also reclined the seat in my car on the way home from the transfer because I did have a 35-45 minute drive home.

Bed Rest after Transfer
I was just told no heavy lifting. I went about my daily activity, maybe taking it easy the first day. BFP both times.

Bed Rest after Transfer
I was told no strenuous activity, but to go about my day. I only took off from work the day of transfer. I just had my twins a week ago.

Bed Rest after Transfer
My whole job is on my feet and strenuous activity/lifting. I run an ice store. I make the ice, rotate stock, lift boxes to do inventory. So really not sure what to do about that.
