Sausage and peppers recipe needed

How do you make them?

I have only cooked the sausage in one pan set aside, sauté onions and peppers in same pan with basic spices and then add sausage back in, cover and summer for a while.

Any other suggestions?

i just throw it all on a baking sheet and roast it with evoo- peppers, onions, sausage

i buy the thin sausage from iavaronne brothers. i cut it up before i cook it into bite size pieces. i then sautee it in a pan with evoo.
when they are halfway cooked, i add a jar of mancini fried peppers along with some fresh peppers. i dont use onions because dh doesn't like them.
i cook until the sausage is done and i serve over rice.

I make it the same way......sautee separately and then toss together. I usually serve as heroes on Italian bread, but lots of people put it over pasta.

Another vote for Ivarone's sausage. I cannot buy sausage anywhere else!

Secret family recipe

I roast the sausage in the oven while I cook the rest.

In. Huge oval pan, I soften sliced onions in olive oil for 2-3 min. Add peppers and sautée on med/high heat. I add grated garlic and parsley, salt and pepper. When the peppers are halfway cooked, I deglaze the pan with either sherry or white wine. Let the alcohol boil off and add a little crushed tomato or tomato paste mixed with water. Work it in and lower the heat. Now, slice the sausage, add to the pan with sausage juices, cook for 5 more mins before serving hot.

I boil the sausage. sautéed the peppers, onions and garlic in olive oil, add the sausage back in and season. Serve with veggies or rice.

If I make with pasta I add the cooked pasta and sauce to the skillet to heat though.

If I am making it with potatoes, like in a sausage sandwich I do the following:

*boil the sausage, then cut up and cook on a skillet and season, set aside
*Cut up peppers, onion and potatoes. I cook the onion and peppers first in another skillet. Add potatoes to the onions and peppers, add some Paprika and seasoning
*Serve sausages & Potatoes on Portuguese roll

I only cook turkey sausage.

I marinate the peppers and onions chopped up in salad dressing and then sauté them in a pan w olive oil. Dh usually coats the sausage in olive oil and then grills it, but if we couldn't grill it for whatever reason, I would fry it in the pan w olive oil.

I slice the peppers and onions and toss with garlic powder, salt and pepper and put into a broiler foil. Then I put my sausage on top and bake till the sausage is cooked through. Then I slice the sausage and toss it all together.

I bake the sausage in the oven while I sautéed the onions and pepper. I then slice the sausage and add it to the peppers. I used to do it the other way but I find the sausage actually comes out better when I bake it.
