Should I test with the OPK twice a day? - Update at bottom
Ok so this will be my third month using the CBEFM. Both months before this I got my solid smiley around day 12/13. Today was my first day of this cycle using it. We're also following Deanna's plan this month which tells you to test in the afternoon. I'm wondering if I should test twice a day just to be safe and hopefully catch my surge a little earlier this month. But I was doing some research and I read that it's mostly beneficial to women who don't get positive readings on their OPK to test twice a day so they have a better chance at catching their surge. Any thoughts? I'm just willing to do anything extra at this point lol

I would try temping in combination with opks. Everyone is different but from my personal experience, I used opks for 7 month. Month 8 I decided to temp and got a bfp. I realized I Od a few days later than what the OPK predicted.

Re: Should I test with the OPK twice a day?
I don't think it can hurt! I've done it. This is my first month temping though and I will say that yesterday evening's OPK was pretty dark, but my temperature is still pretty low, so without temping, I would have thought yesterday's was a positive OPK. We DTD this morning just to be safe!

Re: Should I test with the OPK twice a day?
I think I'm going to do it just to see if it makes a difference. I tested at 8:00 this morning so I'm going to try again around 6:30. I didn't really want to start temping because I feel like it might make me more neurotic but if this month nothing happens I'm going to try it. This is month 9 that we've been ttc so I'm not ruling anything out anymore.

I did it when I had symptoms and was able to catch the positive early. I don't think it hurts!

Re: Should I test with the OPK twice a day?
Thanks ladies. I'm hoping this is going to be the answer
How many hour apart did you test? I read that 10 hours apart is about right.

So I'm hoping I'm onto something now lol I tested this morning at 8am and got a negative. I retested at 8pm and got a high reading. I'm praying this is going to be the month now. Maybe I've just been missing the prime time all these months. Please send some positive vibes my way
