No info yet from school....
is this normal? DS is starting K and we have nothing with his teacher, etc.
I am guessing to call if nothing by the weekend....

Nope, usually early next week. We always get it the week before. They give less time for parents to call and complain

Oh, gotcha. I guess that's for the parents who get mad if their DC doesn't get a certain teacher.

I think letters are just being mailed in my district. DD got a letter from her teacher today, though we knew her assignment on the last day of school.

No info yet from school....
We just got ours yesterday. I think it's ridiculous they are mailed so late, and complain about it every year, but it will never change  Have fun with the mad dash for last minute supplies, and searching for that one elusive item that no store has, except Staples (which is a major rip off!) LOL

Orientation was in May and they sent the supply list then in the folder.
I refuse to get crazy over that.

Honestly as a teacher I just got my list of classes on Tuesday. I get ds on the 26 supposedly.

Same here. I understand the classroom assignments being sent out last minute, and I don't have a real problem with that, but 90% of the supply lists are the same for all the teachers in the same grade. At least send that out in July. Then, when the classroom assignments go out, you can give out the 10% difference lists that individual teachers may want.

Last year (as she was entering Kindergarten) we got all the info about a week or two before school. This year my DD got her 1st grade teacher info and supply list on the last day of school.
