Letter for parent taking child on vacation
Hi in 2 weeks my bil is taking his daughter to Canada for a family party. Does anyone have a sample letter or know the proper wording a letter should contain so when we get to the border there are no issues. Thanks

I believe she needs a passport regardless of her age. Especially for reentry into the US.

Is he the only parent going? I think that is where an issue can arise--if only 1 parent is taking the child out of the country, especially if he has a different last name than his child.
