Oil to Gas conversion
Hello all! Wondering if anyone here has had any experience with Willco Mechanical for an oil to gas conversion? I really liked the company but when I google for reviews, nothing comes up. Also, any thoughts on purchasing all new equipment or just converting with the gun. Any other recommendations for companies that won't try to oversell me or break the bank?!! Please help-I cannot make it through another winter with oil
Thanks!!

Re: Oil to Gas conversion
Try Scarpelli Mechanical. I used them for our Central Air and wish I used them when I did my oil to gas conversion. I didn't know of them then, but they were awesome to work with for our AC.

Re: Oil to Gas conversion
We met with them. If we hadn't gotten a discount from a friend of a friend we would have went with them, they had the best price. Just got the gas installed this past weekend and we got all new equipment. It cost more than I expected.....I kept being told (from non-plumbers) about 5k because we already have gas in the house for the hot water heater, stove, and dryer. It was more. We just bought the house and neither of us have ever had oil so we'll never really have an idea of how much we're saving!

Oil to Gas conversion
Thanks so much! Will check out Scarpelli also. Converting to gas is so expensive but I know it will be so worth it in the end-cannot handle another $700 oil delivery!!! One of the big companies tried to sell me state if the art equipment-they were not listening and now keep hounding me-no sorry NOT spending 10k to convert!!!! I have gas dryer, water and stove also.

Re: Oil to Gas conversion
we just did our conversion last month with Sal Manzo Plumbing. they were VERY clean and you really should get new boiler and heater...unless its like BRAND new then there will not be any oil build up.
the plumber is high but you also have to get a stainless sleeve liner for the chimney and tank removal..which can be around 1000-1500
pricing also depends where the line will be installed how what kind of heat you have..how many zones
i checked out 3 companies and manzo wasn't the cheapest he was in the middle but he knew what he was talking about be careful with companies that do conversion that aren't just plumbers they usually outsource
