Convertible car seat?
Which one do you have? DD is approaching the convertible stage and I'm not sure which one to get. I have a Hyundai Santa Fe if that makes a difference.

Convertible car seat?
Personally I have a Graco mySize for my daughter. It will last her until a maximum of 40 pounds rear facing and then a maximum of 65lbs (or a seated shpulder height of 17.5") foward facing. It should easily get her to 6 foward facing based on her current stats (10% for height and 25% for weight)
How old and big is your daughter? Do you have a budget for a seat? Is there anything specific you're looking for in a seat (low side profile, narrow to fit other seats/passengers in the back, compact front to back because of a tall driver/passenger, ease of use, ease of installation)
Based on that I can give you some suggestions! !

We will be getting a Graco 4Ever. The reviews are fantastic and I love that it is a long lasting seat that isn't too big so it will fit well in our smaller cars.

We have the britax boulevard. Now that its in, I love it but we had a lot of problems getting the correct recline for back facing and had to have it professionally installed.

Convertible car seat?
Recaro! :) because I felt Britax overly hyped as the 'in' thing to buy. Plus (and really my main reason) Recaro makes car seats.. that's what they DO. I'm not talking children's car seats.. I'm talking racing car seats. They are in the business of protecting humans from high speed impacts. They are well respected for comfort, design and use. It made sense to me to choose a company who is most familiar with vehicle crashes of outrageous types to develop a seat that would protect my child while giving her comfort and usable for a long time.
Still.. it wasn't cheap (priced similar to Britax) so I held off .. saving for it. Then Woot.com had them for $99 and I got one as quick as lightning. I should have bought two! Still it was the BEST $99 ($104 since all shipping is $5) I ever spent.
She was always VERY comfortable in that seat. We've moved up to a booster and I do regret not getting another Recaro.

We have the same seat and love it. It was recommended by an installer for my car and it fits well and was easy to install. Dd is very comfortable in it and we liked the side impact protection and rear tether.

I was leaning towards this one because it would avoid another car seat purchase in the future right? I rather get the forever and be done with car seats!

Convertible car seat?
Diono Radian- it's narrow can fit 3 across if you need too, if not it's nice to not have a huge bulky seat, steel frame, and although heavy it folds so easier to travel with

This is a great seat! All the reviews have been amazing so far from technicians who have had the chance to check it out.
The only possible "downfalls" that it could have are
1) if you have a very long torso'ed child they will outgrow the foward facing harness mode too early to be switched to a booster (typically that switch should happen around 5.5-6 years old)
2) if you have a smaller sized child that needs a no back booster past the 10 year expiration the seat has. You would have to buy another low back booster (approximately $15)
