after HSG
I have one scheduled for Friday Morning. Do you think I could go to work after that?

Most likely. I did it last summer and crawled into bed afterwards. I was crampy and uncomfortable. But functional

Re: after HSG
They prefer you to rest afterwards bc there can be some cramping and spotting. I took the afternoon off and napped after.

Re: after HSG
My recovery was definitely not the norm, but I was doubled over in pain 4 hours after the procedure, and up all nights with chills, fever and sweats. Honestly it took me 2 days to feel normal. Again, I am not the norm here. Most women are completely fine afterwards.

Re: after HSG
Everyone has different reactions to it. They wanted to give me pain killers for mine bc I have a history of pelvic infections, pelvic surgeries plus my tubes are blocked. I only took 800mg of advil an hour before and the most uncomfortable part for me was laying on the table with my legs flat and the speculum inside. It's just super awkward, KWIM? I didn't have much pain at all but like everyone said, afterwards you may want to just rest bc your uterus just went through a lot with all of that dye and flushing. I am sure you will be fine.

after HSG
As stated above, everyone is different. I had 2 HSGs and took motrin before and was pretty much fine after. Just wear a pad as the water will leak out.

Re: after HSG
I had terrible cramping for about a half hour afterwards. Then I was fine. I even exercised that night. So yes, I think you could go to work afterwards. Most people don't have any lingering discomfort at all.
