Back in the game! Need a crash course!

After waiting and praying for a REALLY long time, #2 is on the way. It's extremely early on and I have had MC in the past but I'm just being very positive and I'm not letting any negative or worrisome thoughts get to me (I've become a huge fan of Joel Osteen and I'm following his advice).

Anyway, since its been a while, I'm a little rusty on the "rules". Can someone refresh me?

I know: No sushi, no cold cuts, no unpasteurized cheese, no major quantities of caffeine, no alcohol, no fun. Chat Icon

What am I forgetting?

My roots are terrible. I'm like 3 inches away from being in style with ombre. Can I get my highlights done? I forget.

Also, I'm already experiencing morning sickness and massive, raging headaches. Any tips for what I can do about that? I wasn't sick with DS so I don't really know what to do.

I was doing T25 and getting myself back into shape but obviously that's not happening now. What does everyone do for exercise besides walking?

Its all a very personal decision because all of those nos you listed I did except alcohol and unpasteurized cheese but that is only because you would have to really hunt it out because its not readily available.

Hair - I dyed my hair at least every 6-8 weeks and started probably at 5-6 weeks.

You can continue with exercise that you were doing before just watch your heart rate but people run their entire pregnancies so just do what you feel you can.

MS - I had it bad and had to get meds but always have soemthing on had to eat and keep hydrated.

Congrats!!!!!

Re: Back in the game! Need a crash course!

Congrats!

I think it really depends on what you are comfortable with but my doc told me 1-2 cups of coffee a day should be fine but I can't even stomach it. She said no sushi that isn't cooked, cold cuts should be heated and no unpateurized cheese and obviously no alcohol.

I did actually dye my hair very early on but haven't since. My doc said it was fine as long as I was in a well ventilated area.

Exercise- I was running 3-4 miles about 3 days a week and taking boot camp classes 2-3 days a week. My doc was fine with continuing but told me to watch my heart rate and that if I was really winded to ease up oh, and no laying on my back once in my 2nd tri. I did stop running because I had some spotting after a 3 mile run (could have been completely unrelated but it scared me) so I have just been walking and doing the elliptical 5 days a week now. I also do weights but only 5lbs. It's really what you feel comfortable with and I am a little more paranoid.

Congrats and welcome!!!

Sounds like a good list to me. The only thing I would add is no ibuprofin, just stick to tylenol if you have a need. I think i read hair dye is perfectly fine if you can stomach the smell.

Congrats! I think you've got yourself well covered. For MS- ginger or lemon hard candies and either peppermint or ginger lemon tea (twinings makes a good one) helped me. Sea bands worked pretty well too.

Congrats. Do what you're comfortable with.
I still have my two cups of coffee in the morning, I eat what I want (having turkey now) and I'm not an exerciser lol but do still take my dog on long walks.

I dyed my hair my entire first pregnancy and going in a week or two to ombré my hair. Do what you want, but dont limit it either. Enjoy.
