Thinking of moving out of state
where would you go and why?.
Considering, Myrtle Beach or NC, however, we have family in Maryland

I would first research your job industry. Personally I would have to go to a major city to be able to work.
If you have more job flexibility it might not be so hard

DH and I are contemplating SC near Hilton Head for our retirement in a few years. We have friends in the area.

I miss living Upstate at times but I don't make a lot of money here on LI, I know it would be like minimum wage up there.
My friend just posted her school district in the Hudson Valley is looking for a new psychologist....$35k a year.
That's less than I make as a social worker.
Our bills won't really change much, I can't imagine existing on that.

I live in the myrtle beach area.. Would not come here without getting a job first. It is very hard to find a decent job!

I am 2.5 hrs north of myrtle in jacksonville no. We would never move back to nyc. Dhs company headquarters are in myrtle...so that is were we will probably end up one day. We did live in Charlotte first, which is a great place to live.
