Has anyone gone from blonde back to dark brown hair?

I have been hi lighting my hair blonde for years and i really want a drastic change and want to go back to my natural color, which is very dark brown.

i tried this years ago and my hair came out orange so i am nervous to try it again.

does anyone have a colorist they recommend near patchogue? and will they do a single process? or is a color correction? just trying to figure out how much $$ this will cost me.

I did it once , years ago, because I got so sick of the upkeep and maintenance on highlights.
But I hated it on ME.
I cried and tried to wash it 100 times in a row to get it out.
I don't look good with dark hair though.

my colorist did this for me 10 years ago. i had to go to almost black hair. it was that dark brown.

Me! I went from blonde for 15 yrs to this awesome chocolately, deep chestnut color. I've gotten so many compliments, I love it !
Plus my hair is 100x healthier without all that bleaching

I have multiple times. I have done it myself and had my colorist do it. When I did it myself it was always darker than I really wanted it but it grew on me. IF my colorist did it I had her keep the depth to it so it wasn't just one color.

Funny because I was just thinking about doing this too. I am so sick of my highlights looking ratty when the grow out.

I'd like to dye my hair darker than its natural color. Wonder how weird that would be when the roots grow out a little?

I'm getting like 10-12 weeks out of the darker color, as opposed to 6-8 with the blonde. This is the color I recently did last month. If you look in my album, you can see how blonde my hair used to be.

I did it once, and my aunt is my colorist. We usually use Wella or Rusk hair colors. In order not to "lift red", she always chooses a neutral or natural brown. Stay away from anything that says G or Golden brown. I remember one called cool brown once.

Thanks!! It's red in the sun, and honestly it's a few colors. Some of my blonde is poking through now that it's been several weeks since she colored it. It was initially a lot darker. I don't know the exact color she used, but it's Paul Mitchell. She applied the base color and put foils on my some of my existing blonde to act as highlights. Then she used a toner on the blonde highlights so they were more caramel than blonde.

i started with blonde highlights and every time i went to the salon, i got more and more added and next thing i knew, i was bleach blonde. it DESTROYED my hair. this is before and after. My hair actually had a tint of GREEN the day after i went back to brown. so i wen tback and they re -dyed it. now i go to the salon once every 6 months? such a money saver lol

meh. i look homeless 5 days a week

i need a new place that doesnt charge more than minor surgery. im so sick of salons charging $$$$ for a trim and maybe some highlights. I just want to go to a place and tell them i want a few highlights around my face. give me $50 worth. similar to a gas station. KWIM? dont charge me $350 for a few foils.

I do this all the time. I get so bored with my hair. Naturally blonde, high and low light it often. Then go super dark. I use Jessica at gold coast salon in east setauket. Its far, but shes worth it.
